There are various artists that go under the name Timber:
"Timber" from Gaithersburg in Maryland, a short lived post hardcore/emo act making 1 CDR and 7" before making a discography cassette
"Timber" from St John's in Newfoundland, a rock group active from 1998-2002 known for their radio hits and opening performances for Matchbox Twenty
"Timber" from Montreal in Quebec, a folk group.
"TIMBER!" is a one man band from Arkansas currently living in Texas.
Pre-dating those hard-acting groups was the early 90s Timber, an NYC combo consisting of Mark Howell and Rick Brown (the latter of Fish & Roses and Run On fame) with assistance from - at various times - Ira Kaplan, Bob Bannister, Jenny Wade, and Tony Maimone, to name four. They released a full-length Parts and Labor on the Fred Frith-founded Rift label, a 7" on Butt Rag, and contributed a couple compilation tracks before taking a hiatus once extended and now presumably permanent.
