Yadira De Jesus was born in Puerto Rico. At the age of 4 years started playing the violin, at age 7 she began playing the piano and at 15 years writing songs. Yadira De Jesus completed a BA in music with a concentration in piano from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. Fascinated by the theology decided to do an MA in comparative religion.
