In Ufology, contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life known as close encounters, is ranked by a system of classification thought up by by J. Allen Hynek in 1972. Close encounters of the first kind would be witnessing a UFO. The second kind would be hard evidence of the UFO’s existence.
