Artist Info: Nagah Sallam

نجاح سلام (born; 13 March 1932-) is a Lebanese singer and actress born in Beirut. Her grandfather was Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sallam Lebanon's former Mufti and her father was composer and oud player Mohie El Din Sallam. In 1955, she married singer Mohamed Salman and had children, and they separated 9 years later. She worked for Al Sharq radio and sang in front of an audience for the first time in 1948.

She then traveled to Cairo and worked with composers like Riad El Sonbaty and Mohamed Abdel Wahab. [read more...]
