Artist Info: Khaled Gomaa

Khaled Gomaa is an Egyptian percussionist known especially for his work with traditional Arabic rhythms and modern combinations. According to the label notes on The Music of Islam, Vol. 1: Al‑Qahirah – Classical Music of Cairo he is credited on tabl / tabla (goblet drum) for the recording.

He began playing early (reports say from age 8) under the artistic influence of his father, Mostafa Gomaa, himself a famed tabla player.
