Artist Info: Gustav Brom

Gustav Brom (*22.5.1921 Velke Levare, Slovakia) - conductor, composer, musician and singer. In 1940, he founded jazz bigband in Brno, one of the most famous in the Czech Republic within next 50 years. The band went through many changes absorbing new styles (bop, cool, jazz west coast), developing its own progressive style and, at the same time, playing dixieland and dance music.
