Artist Info: Big Blue Spruce

Philadelphia's Big Blue Spruce combines rootsy-folk inspired harmonies and jam band instrumentation with a southern rock aesthetic.The band formed in 2009 as a trio then added their pianist in early 2010. The quartet has been playing for less than a year but you wouldn’t know that from their live performance!

The band released their debut LP entitled “Short Story Long” under the guidance of producer/engineer David Park. David Park is most notably recognized for his work with local Kurt Vile (Matador Records) and Divine Loraine. [read more...]
