Artist Info: Andrés De Sola

Andrés de Sola (Tudela , Navarra , 1634 - Zaragoza , 1696) was an organist and composer of Spanish music of the 17th Century .

He is believed to have been able to start his music studies with his uncle Melchor Ximénez, organist in the church of Santa María de Tudela (Navarra), his birth city. In 1652 news of him is heard in Saragossa, where surely it remained with his uncle Jusepe Ximénez , famous organista principal of the Seo of Saragossa at the time. [read more...]
