Afroline is a violin artist redefining the place of her instrument in modern music. Trained in classical violin, she now explores a musical territory where tradition meets Afro-Caribbean and hip-hop influences.

With her project Crowned, she places the violin at the center of genres rarely associated with the instrument: afro, bouyon, kompa, hip-hop, Jersey and drill. Through this approach, she reimagines the role of the violin and opens new spaces for its expression. [read more...]
