BROWN is Chris' twelfth studio album and the follow up to November 2023’s 11:11. Chris first teased new music following his release from UK jail, in a now-deleted Instagram post, hinting he would drop new music ahead of his Breezy Bowl XX World Tour, kicking off on June 8 in Amsterdam.
BROWN was preceded by four singles: the inspirational “Holy Blindfold,” the Bryson Tiller assisted “It Depends.” the club-ready “Obvious,” and the bluesy Leon Thomas assisted “Fallin'.”
On August 4, Chris uploaded a behind-the-scenes of the “Holy Blindfold” music video and studio recording with the caption “Working on my craft everyday. I think I’m gonna name this next album #BROWN”. The suspected album title coincides with the brown artwork for the album’s two singles, and is also a nod to his surname.
In a January 9, 2026 Instagram post, Chris said:
Don’t worry. Ima drop dat new shit soon. Been recording, resting, growing a beard, Christmas ,new years, my babies birthday parties, paying bills, looking out for my folks. Etc .. IM COMING THOUGH ❤️
On March 5, Chris teased a May date for new music via his Instagram story. On April 10, he surprise released the album’s third single “Obvious” alongside the album’s release, May 8th.
On April 29, Chris announced the release of the Leon Thomas—assisted “Fallin'” and its old-school bluesy-inspired music video. Later that day, he also dropped the pre-save link and album artwork. The album’s features were previewed on May 5, Chris' birthday, and the album’s tracklist was officially announced on May 6.
