“Kids Are Growing Up (Part 1)” sees The Kid LAROI reflecting on his life, recalling back to his childhood, and realizing things aren’t always what they seem.
The song was released on February 10, 2023, as the third single from LAROI’s debut album, THE FIRST TIME.
On January 27, 2023, the song’s release was teased at the end of the music video for LAROI’s single “Love Again.” The same day, the song was teased through LAROI’s virtual Fortnite concert.
Prior to the song’s release, it leaked in its entirety on December 25, 2022. The leak included the portion released as “Part 1,” as well as an additional second verse expected to be released as “Kids Are Growing Up (Part 2).”
