"The Battle of Los Angeles" is the third and final studio album by American rock band Rage Against the Machine, released by Epic Records on November 2, 1999. At the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards, the album was nominated for Best Rock Album, and the song "Guerrilla Radio" received the award for Best Hard Rock Performance. In year-end rankings, both Time and Rolling Stone listed the album among their top releases of 1999.
The album was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, indicating sales of at least two million units in the United States. It was the last full-length studio album of original material issued by the band before their initial breakup in 2000; the group’s subsequent release consisted entirely of cover songs and appeared after the breakup.
